Juanita Bellavance, Entanglement, From the Chestatee River portfolio, 2021, Acrylic on canvas, 24 x 24 inches
Entangled branches intrigue me as much as entangled grasses. I'm realizing now that I've enjoyed taking photographs throughout my life that included the up-close branches I'm looking through.
I love how these branches hang down loosely right in front of the view across the way. I think what intrigues me is seeing the difference between the horizontal and vertical lines. Nature is the root of so many designs in spite of the design having nothing to do with nature. It's just our primitive intuition I'd say.
