This painting began as a completely neutral one. It was simple and had an Asian flare unexpectedly. I wanted to add some color and a little more complexity so added the neutral blue and white. After I did that I found it much more interesting with a feeling of movement in the blue and marks in the "sky" area. It seems like a lake with a dock and a mountain in the distance.
