The beginning of our love affair with the islands.
The first time I experienced the breathtaking beauty of azure tropical waters was on a trip to Hawaii with my husband. Hanauma Bay felt like a dream, its crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant, colorful fish darting in and out of the coral.
Since that moment, we’ve ventured to both Maui and The Big Island, each visit deepening our love for the islands. On Maui, the thrill of riding bikes down Haleakala left us in awe, but nothing compared to the stunning and unexpected experience that happened during the whale watch cruise.
A pod of whales greeted us, performing as if the ocean was their stage—leaping and diving with such grace. The crew, seasoned by years of sailing these waters, called it one of their top ten experiences.
It was exhilarating, a moment we’ll never forget.
