The pebbles and soil along the placid water are intriguing.  This painting is the essence of the intriguing surface on the banks of the river.  The coloration and textures create a moment of awe.  When alone at the river the somber quiet lends itself to a meditative experience of it all, connection with spirit.  Through art, we can experience this essence on demand even when we don't have much time available.
