Labor Day weekend my daughter-in-law and I took eight-year-old Ella tubing on the Toccoa River. It turned out to be the most beautiful rainy day experience ever to have with a child. I was excited to have a chance to remind myself of how the river looks from the middle of it. most of my photographs are from the riverbank from one side or another. 

As we floated along I wanted pictures of places where it looked different. I was surprised and a little disappointed that it looked very much the same the entire way. One thing that makes the Toccoa River fun for tubing is there are plenty of boulders along the way.  They aren't dangerous or very challenging but do keep some rapids going most of the time. I've paddled a kayak on a flat river before and I definitely don't recommend that.  : )
