When I look at this painting I’m drawn to the ending of a sunny day. It reminds me of Boulder, CO. The blur of distant aspens and the slate-like hardness of rock and vast space on the way.
I’ve always been the mountain scenery type more than the beach scenery type. I’m gradually appreciating the huge spaciousness of the beach. At least for sure in one direction there is spaciousness even if the opposite direction is covered in concrete and buildings.
Plenty of space is important to me.
